What is a Super Visa Insurance?

Super Visa insurance is private emergency medical insurance that provides coverage to relatives from abroad to Canada. In the case of the Super Visa application requirement, it provides the following:

  • $100,000 to $1 million in emergency medical services, hospitalization and repatriation cost
  • The ability to return to the home country without cancelling insurance coverage
  • Issued by a Canadian travel insurance company

What type of health issues are covered by super visa insurance?

If, for example, your parents or grandparents have a car accident and require medical treatment – the emergency travel insurance would cover:

What happens if Super Visa application is denied?
In the case that the Super Visa application is denied, the premium is 100% refundable
What happens if the family member leaves sooner than planned?
If your family member leaves Canada before the one year is up, you can get a refund on the unused balance.
