Super Visa Insurance for Parents & Grandparents

Super Visa Insurance for Parents & Grandparents

Overview

A recent change in Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC)makes it easier and faster for eligible sponsors to bring their parents or grandparents to Canada on a temporary basis on what’s known as a Super Visa.   A Super Visa is a multiple-entry visa that is valid for up to 10 years and allows eligible parents/ grandparents to visit their family in Canada for up to two years at a time.

Although IRCC has reduced the processing time for the Super Visa, one of the critical requirements for obtaining the Super Visa is insurance. Super Visa applicants must submit proof that they have purchased private medical insurance from a Canadian insurance company. Other requirements can be obtained from the government website.CONTACT AN ADVISOR
